Valentine's day is just around the corner, so why not treat your partner to a romantic dinner at Bacaro, one of the best restaurants in the Cayman Islands? Our beautiful waterfront restaurant in the Cayman Islands yacht club is the ideal setting for a special occasion for that special person
AN ITALIAN HERITAGE
Valentine's Day is synonymous with love and Italians traditionally have been considered to be lovers. Known in Italy as "La Festa Degli Innamorati," Valentine's Day is celebrated only between lovers and sweethearts. Valentine's Day actually has its origin in the Roman Empire as a holiday on February 14 to celebrate the Queen of Roman gods and goddesses. The ancient Romans also considered this queen named Juno to be the goddess Queen of Women and Marriage.
In modern Italy, to celebrate this lovers' holiday Italians give each other flowers, plan romantic dinners and present each other with chocolates. However, a more recent tradition is to attach padlocks or "lucchetti" to bridges and railings and throw away the key.
VENICE…ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC CITIES IN THE WORLD
With its beautiful lagoon and canals, stunning architecture and iconic gondolas…Venice is an extraordinarily romantic venue. At Bacaro, we have brought a little part of Venice to Cayman. Although there are many Italian restaurants in the Cayman Islands, Bacaro is the only fine dining restaurant offering authentic Venetian inspired dishes in a magnificent waterfront location. It`s the perfect setting for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner.
On Valentine's day, we will be offering a special tasting menu to excite your senses and tempt your palate. Dishes will include tuna tartare, cured salmon, lobster bites, pork belly, raspberry and white chocolate mousse, and many more.
